SOURCING GUIDE
How to prepare
a useful product brief.
Help your sourcing partner understand what matters before they prepare a quotation.

Identify the exact product
Include the product URL, photographs, model or variant details, dimensions and intended use. Point out features that must not change.
Explain quantities and markets
Separate sample quantities, initial inventory and expected recurring orders. List destination countries and your sales channels.
Describe quality requirements
State the specifications and inspection requirements you already have. Ask which documents and samples can substantiate the proposed product.
Separate the costs
Ask which amounts cover products, branding, packing, storage and shipping. Clarify one-time charges and conditions before comparing offers.
Confirm the next decision
Agree who approves samples, specifications and production. A clear approval process helps avoid changes being lost between conversations.
